Waiting for a train

As I write this post at 9:55pm, the temperature is 80 degrees outside. I imagine it was at least 5-10 degrees warmer at 6:10pm when I was waiting for a train at the Union Square subway station. Down there, it felt like 95 degrees with no breeze unless a train blew past, which didn’t happen very often because “due to an earlier incident, ‘A’ trains are running with delays”. At that point, I put my earbuds in to listen to music (a mix my Dad made for me), and whipped out my handy dandy 99 cent fan from Pearl River:
It helped a little bit, but not that much.
The train finally came at 6:37 and I crammed onto the car along with the rest of the sardines, and we made our way to our homes where we changed out of our sweaty dripping clothes and into our jammie pants and fun socks:
Or maybe that’s just me …
